Have you ever felt stuck in life and told yourself, “Everything will be okay?” Even went online and searched some quotes related to it? Or asked some AI tool to tell you that everything would be okay? Or, being more human, asked a friend to give you reassurance that you will get out of this and one day will turn your life around? If you’ve done all this or one of these things , then don’t worry.
We all have “been there and done that”.
But I want you to ask yourself a more important, more realistic question:
Everything will be okay, sure! But how?
Well, here’s the fact: we often get a dire need to start over in life; we think about changing our daily habits or at least incorporating some good into our everyday routines. It goes on for a while till we get tired of it all and quit. But then later we get a nagging feeling that we need to turn over our life somehow. Now at this point, two things can happen: either you give up or start again.
Even if you start again , you’d quit again, and it will keep going on. But you soon get tired of this cycle; it’s only natural to get tired of this cycle.
So what’s the solution?
To find the solution, you need to ask yourself, What’s the problem? What makes you quit every single time and give up on those nice habits? That’s what you need to work on!
I can give you some for starters:
- You did not get the results you were hoping to get.
- It was maybe too much for you.
- It did not give you the happiness you were hoping to get.
- You just got tired.
Or maybe your reason is not something this basic; comment down your reason and we will get into that.
But the reason I am here to discuss is “The transformation needed you to be out of your comfort zone.”
What, pray tell, is a comfort zone?
Comfort Zone, as it sounds like, is not some physical place but rather a mental state. Where you feel at ease, or in literal words, at comfort. But challenging yourself , transforming your life , daring to dream , wanting to have things – all of this you can only get when you are out of your comfort zone.
Because within your comfort zone these things don’t exist.
There could be two scenarios now:
- If you feel your life is alright and you are content with it , well then good for you. You can keep on living like that.
- But on the other hand, if you feel like, Yes, my life is good enough for everyday life; I get to grow and learn and live with my loved ones and do the things I like to do; I feel safe , happy and healthy, BUT I would like to achieve my dreams; I would like to do things I always wanted to do; I will get that freedom and everything else I want from life. Be it success , money or fame, I want that too.
In the 2nd scenario , you, my friend, need to buckle up and get out of your comfort zone.
Quick Question:
How to get out of this comfort zone?
Well, it always starts with the basics: start doing consistent habits , set uncomfortable goals , say yes more often, and embrace failure. But honestly, I think we are way past that , because if you are here, I am pretty sure you have done these things a million times. But hey, it’s always a good place to start if you are a newbie.
So here are some practical and a little less basic ways to do it:
- Do things that aren’t so you:
For example , oh yes,, I have the skill to earn money , but working for hours is just not me. Well then, growth isn’t for you either. Go , apply that skill and work.
2. Let go of “fear of judgement”:
But I’d look weird doing that, and what will people say? Well, they are already saying pretty much a lot, and your life is trash. You get what you want, and your life is not trash anymore. Then at least whatever they are saying would be worth listening to. And honestly, who cares?
3. What if it’s not for me?
If it wasn’t for you, you would not have such a deep urge to have it, like you don’t have for a million other things , but believe me, if you feel like you should have it, then it’s meant for you, and a version of you somewhere in the the future already has it. So start putting in effort for it.
4. Find like-minded people:
People who constantly tell you to just stop putting in ineffort and be okay with whatever state you are in are no good. Their “You Only Live Once ” mindset is totally different from yours. Find people who think like you , who want to achieve something beyond mundane everyday life; I’m sure you will find your crowd and community right here on this blog.
Yes , we only live once, and we have to achieve everything in this one life.
